That telescope has both a focus knob and a draw tube. Please look at the label on the focuser, and report which manufacturer's trademark you see: "Circle-T" or "Diamond-Z?" "Circle-T" represents Towa, and is generally considered more desirable than Tanzutsu. If astronomy just isn't your thing, it will be easy to find a good home for such a fine classic. You may get hooked! This forum is full of posts from members who regret selling that scope. If not, do yourself a favor and try looking at even just Jupiter or Saturn before you sell. It will prove more interesting than you expected. If you are interested in astronomy, try using the scope again. I had mine out this morning to see the cloud bands and four moons of Jupiter, the 60% phase of Venus, and even a rare peek at Mercury just before sunrise, all while wearing my robe and feeling disinclined to carry my far heavier C8 outside. In terms of pleasure found at the eyepiece, that scope is priceless! Part of its beauty is that its optical qualities far exceed its market value, its mount is excellent, and it is incredibly useful as a grab-and-go.
